Troubleshooting

There can be several reasons why the Pasilobus Google Analytics app may not work on your Shopify store. Some of the common reasons are:

1. Missing or Incorrect Keys

It is important for the store owner to make sure that the Google Analytics measurement ID and key added to Pasilobus Google Analytics are correct. If the tracking code contains errors, it may not function properly and could be a reason why the app is not working. It is possible that the code was not copied correctly or was accidentally deleted.

2. App Conflict

Sometimes, the Pasilobus Google Analytics app may conflict with other apps installed on your Shopify store that provide data tracking for Google Analytics. It is important to note that Pasilobus Google Analytics should be the only app on your store that provides data tracking for Google Analytics. If you have other apps that provide similar functionality, it is recommended that you remove them before installing Pasilobus Google Analytics to avoid any conflicts.

3. App not activated in Shopify Theme Editor

If the Pasilobus Google Analytics app is not activated in the Shopify Theme Editor settings, it may not function as expected. It is important to ensure that the app is installed properly and activated in the Shopify Theme Editor settings. If the installation instructions were not followed correctly or some steps were missed, the app may not work as expected.

4. Cookie Bar and Privacy Settings

If your store does not have a cookie bar installed and the privacy settings of your Shopify store is set to get user consent before tracking starts, Pasilobus Google Analytics may not work as expected. In order to solve this problem, we recommend installing the Pasilobus EU Cookie Bar app. This app will ensure that your store is GDPR compliant and that user consent is obtained before tracking begins.
